After graduating from high school, I studied abroad in Australia and majored in design at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne.

I became proficient in Adobe software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and XD, and worked on a wide range of projects, including branding, packaging design, web design, and animation.

The reason I decided to study abroad was influenced by my upbringing. I was born and raised in Tokyo, but my parents are from Taiwan, and I grew up speaking Taiwanese Mandarin (the form of Chinese spoken in Taiwan) at home. Additionally, my parents had studied abroad themselves and encouraged me to study abroad. However, it wasn’t just their suggestion that led me to study abroad.

I also had a short-term study abroad experience in high school, where I discovered the joy of being exposed to different cultures and perspectives.

I wanted to challenge myself in a new environment, and I believed that studying in an open and creative educational setting overseas would help me develop a more flexible mindset and enhance my creativity. That’s why I decided to study in Australia.

At the time, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to pursue, so I first attended a language school for a year to improve my English while exploring different academic paths. During that time, I developed an interest in design and decided to enroll at Swinburne University. As I studied, my passion for design grew even stronger, and now, I work as a freelance designer, creating Instagram content for restaurants. Using Canva for image editing, I have helped increase follower engagement,

contributing to a 2,000-follower growth and improving brand awareness.

Leveraging these experiences, I strive to create unique and engaging designs with a flexible approach. Moving forward, I am eager to take on new challenges and continue refining my skills.
